《NBC》節目《Today》採訪，裴洛西口誤「中國是世界上最自由的社會之一（China is one of the freest societies in the world）」，裴洛西的副幕僚長 Drew Hammill 在推特澄清，裴洛西是指台灣。而後佩洛西官網公佈的採訪實錄中該段話中的主詞也從China更正為Taiwan。
在香港的公司被制裁也是錯誤訊息，銘基亞洲（Matthews Asia)聲明，Matthews International Capital Management在所有權上以及公司管理與日常運營上，皆與裴洛西家族無任何直接商業關係。
